I often listen more than I speak.
In the past, I’ve shied away from speaking, feeling unworthy to contribute my thoughts.
I understand this tendency more deeply now, and my goal is to step beyond it—to embrace confidence in who I am and what I bring to conversations.
Yet, there remains something valuable in listening more and creating space for my perspectives to form. I often need time to process, making listening a superpower that deepens my connections with others.
When I silently listen and form my thoughts, my eventual words become intentional. They shift conversations in meaningful ways, and I treasure that quality. I want to hone this skill further, practising listening with the same intensity I bring to speaking.
It’s a delicate balance that I don’t consistently achieve. But striving for this balance matters deeply to me. So, I’ll keep trying, regardless of the challenge.
