“Don’t be scared to start over, you might like your new story better.” – projectmeliora_
I don’t think starting over should be seen as this big scary thing that happens only in catastrophic moments. Yes, major life events often force changes that require beginning anew.
But what if we viewed each day as an opportunity to start over in specific areas of our lives or thinking? We can decide at any moment that certain patterns or beliefs no longer serve us. We can build new narratives that align more closely with who we aspire to become.
There’s a particular way I process the world that needs reconstruction. I need to actively choose to start over in this area of my understanding. I don’t fear this next step. Instead, I feel drawn to it, excited to embrace it fully.
If I avoid making these changes and don’t future-proof my thinking, I’ll remain trapped in outdated patterns that ultimately harm me.
Adopting new perspectives shouldn’t be frightening. It should feel invigorating, creating an excitement so compelling you can’t help but surrender to the joy awaiting you.
Is there an area of belief, knowing, or being where you could start over? Could some part of you benefit from authoring a new story?
