Sometimes it’s okay to wait. Even if it feels scary.
I’ve recently had a quite specific desire. Something else was made possible on a few occasions, but it wasn’t what I desired.
Turning down what didn’t suit me was challenging because there was no guarantee that what I desired would actually happen.
I waited anyway.
Today, what I desired came into being, and I’m moved by my decision to wait.
Waiting is not universal wisdom—there are certainly times to leap, grasp, and act. But in this moment, patience revealed itself as its own kind of courage—a quiet rebellion against settling.
The space between refusing what isn’t right and receiving what is becomes sacred ground. And standing there, watching my patience bear fruit, I’m reminded that sometimes the bravest thing we can do is trust our own knowing enough to wait for what we truly deserve.
