Everything you do does NOT need to be the best thing you’ve done…
I’m tuning into this because I have a proclivity to force myself to seek perfection in almost everything I do. And, of course, it’s exhausting. It’s not healthy, and it’s totally unachievable.
What makes something the best? Who defines what perfect is?
I want to become more comfortable doing things without pressure (from myself) for it to be the best thing.
This does not mean I will do things just for the sake of doing them/getting them done… It means that I get to be more loving, gentle and encouraging of myself when I do things.
It helps me be more present in everyday moments. It teaches me not to jump ahead in a make-believe storyline where my actions are perceived negatively (by myself or others).
