Day 56

“When you’re at the end of your rope, tie a knot and hold on.” — Theodore Roosevelt

Hope is one of the most beautiful things we experience in this world. So when we are without it, we really feel it. A gaping hole is left in our understanding of reality, affecting everything.

This quote by Roosevelt really struck me… I’ve felt at the end of my rope so often lately. But reading these words made me visualise tying a knot at the end of a rope to help grip better.

And the thing is, we are the only ones who can tie the knot with our rope because we are the only ones who know when we’re at the end of it. We are the only ones holding on for dear life. If we let go for a moment, to hand it to someone else, we’ll fall.

So, I’m choosing to manoeuvre around to tie that damn knot so that I can continue to hold on.

I choose to turn to hope and say: I know you deeply and want to keep knowing you.
