An echo is always followed by silence. And after that, whatever you choose to shout is what comes next.
I was deeply struck by these words from Comic Nr. 11, “Echo” by Sina Simbürger.
There are moments in life where we exist within the extended reverberation of an echo. Often hostile, this echo can dictate and define who we are in those moments.
Sometimes, it feels like we’re trapped in that lingering sound, unable to escape its prescription.
But the beauty of the comic reveals a profound truth: after that long time of echoing, silence will always prevail until the next shout.
It’s on us to transform the next moment of echo – to fill it with words of encouragement and love rather than ridicule and judgment.
It’s on us to ensure the next shout is authentically our own.
So, the next echo I want to hear is my voice – cracking with excitement and breaking open with joy for the new season I’m about to enter.
